Forced Matrix MLM Plan

The Forced Matrix Plan, sometimes called the Matrix Plan, is a compensation plan that has a set width and depth to your organization. There are many variations to this model, but the basic concept is the same. The structure is simple, (width x depth). A 3x5 plan for example, allows you to sponsor 3 frontline distributors and your commission will be paid up to 5 levels deep. A 5x7 plan allows you to sponsor 5 frontline distributors and you are paid 7 levels deep. Other popular plans include the 6x4 and the 2x12 structures. Using the example of the 3x5 plan, if you sponsored 3 people into your frontline, who then sponsored 3 people each into their frontline, you'd now have 9 distributors on your second level. If each of these second level distributors each sponsored 3 distributors, you'd now have 27 distributors on your third level. And so, you would have 81 distributors on your fourth level and 243 on your fifth level. Like the Binary compensation Plan, once you've filled the maximum number of frontline distributors, any new distributors will "spill over" and be placed under someone in your down line.

In this type of compensation plan the company will generally pay you a percentage of the volume generated from each level. For example, you would be paid 5% commission on all volume generated by your first level, 4% on all volume generated by your second level, 3% for your third level, 2% for your fourth level, and 1% on your fifth level. Besides the fact that you will be earning a commission on everyone in your down line up to a certain level, another advantage of the Forced Matrix Plan is that once you've filled your frontline, your focus can now be on developing the frontline of your down line, earning you a higher commission.

This allows successful distributors to earn commissions on levels that may be outside the restrictions of a plan. Using the 3x5 plan again for an example, the infinity bonus may allow you to earn a commission on what would be your level 6 to "infinity" on certain products.
